Game Rant | Comment Moderator

Game Rant’s social media team is looking for Comment Moderators to oversee and engage with comments on our Thread Articles and articles on-site. This role will involve a small daily time commitment, and is not a full-time position. Please note that this role does not involve writing articles for the website.

Responsibilities may include:

Moderation:

•  Review of comments that may include toxic or excessively negative connotations
•  Ban repeat offenders or commenters who display immediate inappropriate or problematic behavior
•  Log and report terms and phrases that should be auto-hidden to Page Manager
•  Advocate and encourage accurate information

Engagement:

•  React to (like, love, haha, sad, anger) comments that contribute to the ongoing discussion of the topic/post to elevate comments
•  Respond to comments to uphold engagement while ensuring accuracy

Requirements

•  Broad knowledge of major Gaming franchises
•  Good spelling and grammar skills
•  Familiarity with Game Rant and its social media platforms
•  Experience in community moderation is a plus

Schedule

•  Various shifts available
•  Work 5-days/week (must include weekends)
•  Morning Coverage or Night Coverage
