Amazon Network/Firewall Consultant – Remote | WFH

We’re looking for a talented and experienced

Senior Network and Firewall Consultant to join our growing team! In this remote role, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding our clients’ valuable data and applications within the AWS cloud.

What You’ll Be Doing

Dive deep into network traffic using PCAP files and analyze VPC logs to identify security anomalies and ensure compliance.

Design and implement robust network architectures leveraging the power of AWS.

Become a firewall pro! Manage security groups, configure network ACLs, and establish best practices for impenetrable defenses.

Unleash the power of log analysis! Extract valuable insights from CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and AWS CloudTrail to continuously improve security posture.

Craft and maintain effective firewall rules across multiple AWS environments, adapting them to ever-evolving security threats.

Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique needs and deliver tailored solutions that keep their data secure.

Share your expertise with the team! Provide guidance on best practices for AWS security and empower others to build a culture of security.

Document everything! Clearly document network configurations, firewall rules, and security policies for future reference.

Prepare insightful reports that summarize your findings and recommendations, keeping stakeholders informed.

We’re Looking For Someone With

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

At least 5 years of hands-on experience navigating the complexities of AWS cloud environments, particularly Amazon EC2.

A keen eye for detail and extensive experience analyzing PCAP files and VPC logs.

A strong foundation in networking, firewall configuration, and security best practices.

Proficiency with a range of AWS security services and tools.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable plans.

Other Jobs You May Be Interested In

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience with automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) is a plus.

Familiarity with incident response and forensic analysis in cloud environments.
